Come celebrate the comeback of our nation's symbol! Get ready, bird watchers, here's your chance to see one of the most exciting creatures in the state. During Bald Eagle Days visitors get the chance to see bald eagles from the best viewing areas in the state of Iowa . Bald eagles move from their northern homes into the area in early December. Until their departure in early March, the dam area at Lake Red Rock is a favorite feeding spot for the eagles. On many weekends, visitors report seeing 20- 60 eagles just in this area.
